WOXY.com presents Butterfly Assassins at Schubas this Thursday, August 14, with Jukebox the Ghost and Sunday Runners. Show starts at 9PM and is 8 bones at the door. Sorry kids, it’s a 21+ show. I have had the pleasure of seeing Butterfly Assassins quite a few times over the past year and let me tell you these guys rock face! Their sound is a fair mix of Muse and Arcade Fire with classical tendencies and a knack for the dramatic. The BA’s were named one of the “top bands to watch in 2008″ by the Daily Herald and were recently featured on WOXY’s Lounge Acts. The quintet released it’s first full length album, Sylvia, on Old Flame Records in April. You can check out a few tracks on their myspace and purchase it here.
